Meet the Founder
Marie Udell
Hi! I'm Marie, a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and mom of 3.
My career started in the NICU, caring for the smallest, most fragile babies. Then I became a mom myself and I found myself on the other side of it: sick baby, trying to figure out if this was a wait-it-out night or an ER night. I had the clinical training, and it still felt overwhelming.
That's the gap I built this practice to fill.
I started Home Base Pediatrics so families in New Jersey never have to face that moment alone. Whether it's a late-night text about a rash, a telemedicine visit for a stubborn cough, or an in-home visit when getting out the door just isn't possible, my goal is the same every time: help you make the right call, quickly and with confidence.
I don't believe every worried parent needs an ER visit and I don't believe every concern should wait until Monday. I believe families deserve a real answer whenever the need comes up.

Who We Serve
New Jersey families, newborn through 18
Home Base Pediatrics supports children from birth through age 18, whether you need reassurance about a newborn, guidance for a sick child, or help deciding what level of care comes next. Text and telemedicine support are available to families throughout New Jersey, with home visits offered based on location and mileage.
